Calling Customers in Cameroon

Calling Customers in Cameroon
Ladies and Gentlemen:

In an effort to keep everyone in the field aware of any changes, we would like to pass along the following announcement regarding calling Cameroonian phone numbers with the GLOBALINX product:

The Agence de Régulation des Télécommunications (ART), Yaoundé, announces
that the National Numbering Plan (NNP) of Cameroon will migrate from seven (7) to
eight (8) digits on Friday, 1 June 2007 at 2300 hours UTC. An additional digit will be inserted after the country code as follows:

Subscriber Number Begins with: Insert Digit After Country Code
2 – 2
3 – 3
45 – 7
46 – 7
47 – 7
48 – 7
49 – 7
5 – 7
7 – 7
8 – 8
40 – 9
41 – 9
42 – 9
43 – 9
44 – 9
6 – 9
9 – 9

For example, an old Cameroon mobile number that was 237-6XXXXXX will now need to be dialed 237-96XXXXXX and an old Cameroon Douala number of 237-337XXXX will now need to be dialed 237-3337XXXX.

Sincerely,
Eric D. Sheldon
Director of Representative Services
